The month of March brings to mind images of the shamrock and pots of gold at the end of the rainbow, both of which are said to bring good fortune. “Luck” as we know it here at Way Companies, exists in a different sense. Around the office, we like to think of luck as “preparation meeting opportunity.” As the Corporate Recruiter of The Way Companies, I usually explain to potential candidates how lucky I am to work at Way.

Our Company culture and pillars truly help foster positive co-worker connections. For many, the office is like a second home – having co-workers to celebrate the triumphs and brush off when things go awry. I have found people who truly believe in my work and are there to guide me along the way. Truly, employees of Way are the best. They are intelligent, adaptable, and we give them the opportunity to show us their strengths.

Andrew Holdaway I PROJECT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

“At The Way Companies, the door to upper management is always open. I feel that communication is extremely important in the workplace, and Way does that very well. As part of my job description, I get to go out to job sites and meet people that have different or more experience than I do, which I feel is imperative to the development of any skill learned.

Everyone here is very accepting and willing to have a conversation. I’ve been in the HVAC field for a few years now and have always been on the manufacturing side of things, and I’m really enjoying learning the service side of the industry.”

Stephanie Grace I CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE/AP CLERK

“I come to work every day and get to see the same faces and have a great work environment. I get to talk to our techs over the phone on the daily. Although I might not see them every day, it feels like I do. I choose to work for Way because I loved the fact that it was a family-owned business.”

Bert Snead I INDUSTRIAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

“Way is not just about a paycheck but also the people we work with. I have a genuine concern for our customers, team members and the opportunity to make a difference on a daily basis. As a sales representative at Way, I get to help our customers find solutions to achieve a safe, comfortable and efficient working environment.”

Preparation meeting Opportunity…

When read in totality, it’s easy to see why we don’t believe in ‘luck’ as it’s mainstream definition. Clearly Andrew loves to learn, and we just gave him the opportunity to learn with us. Stephanie enjoys the company of others, and again, we just gave her the opportunity to be herself in her position of customer service. Bert, the problem solver, a genius at finding solutions could not have been a better hire to guide our customers.

However, if we do go by the mainstream definition of luck, it’s my opinion that Way is clearly the one that’s lucky to have these great employees.
