HVAC Funding Programs

Energy conservation includes ‘green’ initiatives and other efficiencies. Nationally, many programs exist to promote energy efficiency and conservation. In 2013, Texas legislation passed The Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Act.

As a leader in HVAC service maintenance and repair, The Way Companies were instrumental in the PACE program’s formation. While working alongside the non-profit Texas Pace Authority, Way advocated for industrial and commercial business owners. Ultimately our efforts resulted in legislation for facility owners to obtain access to private, affordable, long-term financing that was not available through traditional funding avenues.

Way knows the PACE process well. We were responsible for the first PACE program in Texas and facilitated the process from start to finish. Congregation Beth Israel (CBI) synagogue, a 126,0000 sq ft worship building in Travis county, benefited from long-term PACE financing with no out-of-pocket expenses. The final PACE project enabled CBI to finance new chillers, boilers, controls, and window film from a positive cash flow position.
